I have learnt that “give it to God” isn’t just a one time prayer or act. It is you constantly seeking after God and relying completely on Him. It is you constantly going to him with the petition of your heart so much so that you are broken. You are stripped of your pride and of your need to be in control. It is a faith walk like no other, trusting in his promises and learning that His word is so powerful that even He falls under it when He speaks. It is knowing that He does not break his promises and is a never changing God.
This is our love story, only during another season. But seasons change and God is in control. This year I chose to do one of the hardest thing I have ever done. That is to live out my faith publicly in hopes that that by doing so others too can find strength in their walk. I know this wont be easy as our cup is full and we received a tall order, but the story of Job rings near as the theme of our faith walk reminds me of how Job was stripped of everything, and even in this, he praised God.
This journey has brought me to my knees where I need to be, praying and trusting God. Hopefully our story will make your journey a little lighter. I’m starting this page so maybe our story, our lessons learned can help someone else going through the same or similar circumstances.
